As the founding curator of the Bangkok Literature Festival, I’ve brought Booker Prize winner Bernardine Evaristo, Pulitzer Prize winner Adam Johnson, and Andrew Carnegie Medalist Adam Higginbotham together with literary stars from Thailand and Southeast Asia including Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai, Pim Wangtechawat, Veeraporn Nitiprapha, Pitchaya Sudbanthad. I’ve programmed weekends packed with panels and talks, poetry readings, film screenings, book signings, cocktail sessions, and more—all at the historic (and beautiful) Neilson Hays Library in the bustling heart of Bangkok. Check out the 2023 program here and the 2019 program here.

During my stint as the Cultural Affairs Advisor at the U.S. Embassy Singapore, I collaborated with major cultural institutions to showcase American talents like comedian Margaret Cho, choreographer Bill T. Jones, artist Joan Jonas, dancer Stephen Petronio, writer Hanya Yanagihara, and journalist Jon Fasman. Every event is a privilege—and an opportunity to forge relationships across cultures and communities, inspire new audiences, and create programming that is not just relevant and exciting, but urgent and meaningful.
